Bringing together local, national, and international stakeholders, the summit will serve as a platform for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and innovation, engaging a diverse audience—including policymakers, experts, business leaders, researchers, civil society organizations, and engaged citizens. A key focus will be to increase the visibility of urban climate actions, fostering discussions on best practices and solutions that accelerate the path toward carbon neutrality.
This summit will highlight the transformative role of cities, their citizens, and local ecosystems in reducing urban environmental impact and aligning with European and global sustainability goals.
The event will also host the final conference of the NZC project, where the consortium will present its key findings to industry leaders, institutional partners, and decision-makers, ensuring that project results are widely disseminated and scalable.

The International Carbon Neutrality Summit 2025 will be a hybrid event, with both in-person sessions and optional online participation. The City Hall of Cluj-Napoca will oversee the organization, including venue selection, speaker invitations, and agenda development.
